About George Caruolo

George is a lifelong Rhode Island resident and has been an attorney in Rhode Island and Massachusetts since 1977.  He was elected to the Rhode Island House of Representatives in 1980 and became Majority Leader of the chamber in 1993.  He retired from elected office in 1998.  He has served on various boards and commissions including the Rhode Island Coastal Resources Management Council, the Board of Directors of Lifespan and he was appointed by Governor Chafee and confirmed by the Rhode Island Senate as Chair of the Rhode Island Board of Regents for Elementary and Secondary Education.  George has maintained his law offices in East Providence since 1981.
